Solar Thermal (hot Water)

Solar hot water system reduce your heating bills, providing a third of your hot water needs all year round and in the summer months, your hot water could be virtually free.

The cost of the installation is charged at 5% VAT and comes with either a 5 or 10 year warranty. Maintenance costs are low and the panels should be checked by an accredited installer every 3-5 years. You may be able to receive payments for the heat you generate from a solar water heating system through the government's Renewable Heat Incentive http://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/Generate-your-own-energy/Financial-incentives/Renewable-Heat-Incentive-RHI. This scheme should be launched in October 2012.

Nortons Heating will provide a full design and fitting service. We can confirm that the products we use are Solar Key Mark approved and accepted for grant funding by both the Micro Generation Certification Scheme and the Low Carbon Buildings Programme. Solar systems have a life span of up to 30 years.
